About me

I’m David - a second-year Advanced Cybersecurity student at Fanshawe College and an IT professional.

My background started in IT support - years of hands-on work diagnosing hardware, rebuilding systems, recovering data, and dealing with whatever walked through the door. That foundation pushed me toward security, where I’ve been going deeper ever since.

2026 Learning Goals:

  • ✅ Complete Altered Security CRTP
  • ☐ Microsoft SC-200
  • ☐ CompTIA Security+

2027 Learning Goals:

  • ☐ Offsec OSCP

  • ☐ Complete OST2 Bin exploitation path

Active projects:

  • Cyber Notebook - A reference I’m building while studying for the OSCP. Covers AD attacks, web vulnerabilities, post-exploitation, tool syntax, and remediations. Compiled from TCM Security Pentester Course, the CRTP course, and more.
  • Home AD Lab - Multi-workstation VMware environment with a hardened Active Directory setup, GPOs, LAPS, and Wazuh for centralized logging.

This blog is where I write about projects, things I’ve learned, and stuff I think is worth sharing.
